Medical cannabis, made affordable.

Clear, Transparent Pricing
At Emerald Health, we are committed to making the cost of care simple and transparent. We break our pricing down into two core areas: Access & Ongoing Care, and Medication, so you always know exactly what to expect and can feel confident in your treatment journey.
1. Access & Ongoing Care
Seeing a specialist doctor and receiving a prescription, plus the ongoing process of follow up appointments and repeat prescriptions.
2. Medication
Prescriptions are fulfilled through specialist pharmacies, that stock a range of product types to suit different patient needs, which is why the costs are often show separately.
This means you pay only once for the access and then your ongoing medication each month.

Your pricing questionsanswered
What are the main costs involved in accessing medical cannabis treatment?
There are several different factors to consider when it comes to working out how much medical cannabis will cost.
These include:
Consultation fees: Most clinics offer a free eligibility check, but costs for the initial consultation and quarterly follow-up appointments need to be factored in.
Product price: The cost of cannabis-based medicines varies significantly depending on the type of product and volume you are prescribed.
Prescription fees: Some clinics may charge repeat prescription fees each time you re-order your prescription.
Dispensing and delivery costs: You may be expected to pay an additional charge to cover the delivery of your prescription and any dispensing fees on behalf of the pharmacy.
Additional equipment: You may need to purchase additional equipment, such as a vaporiser, to administer your medication.
At Emerald, all consultation fees, repeat prescriptions, and dispensing and delivery costs are included in a one-time fee.

How much will my medication cost per month?
The cost of your monthly prescription will be charged separately to the clinic fees and depends on what products you are prescribed as part of your treatment plan.
The cost of flower typically ranges from £5-£13 per gram, with oils varying from £2- £10 per ml. The example shown in the table below is based on the average prescription of 30 grams of cannabis flower per month, at £6 per gram. Your prescription may be higher or lower, depending on the treatment programme you agree on with your doctor.
Are there any hidden or additional costs I should be aware of?
Emerald aims to remove any hidden or unexpected costs by having a simple and transparent pricing structure.
Subscription members at Emerald will have all fees covered including consultation fees, dispensing and shipping costs, PAYG patients will be responsible for all fees as listed on our websiteThe cost of the medication is not covered in any subscription or PAYG plan.
Does Emerald offer any discounts or access schemes?
Some clinics offer access schemes which aim to make medical cannabis more affordable. Sometimes, they are only available if the patient meets their strict eligibility criteria, or in exchange for contributing to registries to help collect real-world evidence on patient outcomes.
Currently, Emerald does not operate an access scheme. The way our pricing is structured aims to make accessing treatment more affordable for more people in the long-term, by eliminating hidden costs and providing full transparency.
Will I need to buy additional equipment to administer my medication?
Depending on the type of product you are prescribed, you may need to invest in additional equipment such as a vaporiser and grinder for administering your medication.
You’ll usually need to purchase these independently from the clinic, and they vary in cost depending on your personal preference and individual needs. A high-end vaporiser can cost between £250-£300, but more budget-friendly options are available for under £100.
